Following the pan-India success of Kalki 2898 AD, Prabhas is now preparing for the much-awaited sequel directed by Nag Ashwin. Fresh reports have now emerged about its casting and storyline.
According to industry buzz, Vivek Oberoi is set to join the cast of the sequel. Reports suggest he will participate in one of the upcoming schedules and share important scenes with Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. While the makers have not officially confirmed his role yet, insiders claim his character could play an important part in the film’s larger narrative.
Interestingly, Vivek Oberoi is already playing the main villain in Prabhas’ Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. It now remains to be seen whether he will appear in another negative role in Kalki Part 2 or portray a completely different character.
Reports also suggest the previous shooting schedule mainly focused on crucial scenes involving Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan’s characters. The sequel is being mounted on a massive scale under Vyjayanthi Movies, with the team reportedly aiming to surpass the first film in both visual scale and production quality.
At the same time, strong speculation continues around the sequel’s possible title. Industry buzz suggests the makers are considering Karna 3102 BC as the official title, although there has been no confirmation yet. The rumored title has already generated a lot of curiosity among fans because of its mythological significance.
According to reports, the sequel will have a much stronger mythological focus compared to the first part. Since Kalki 2898 AD ended by establishing Karna’s connection to Prabhas’ character, many believe the second film could explore Karna’s legacy and destiny on a much larger scale.
Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is expected to return as the main antagonist, with the conflict reportedly becoming far more intense and grander in the sequel.
With new casting additions, stronger mythological elements, and growing speculation around the title, excitement surrounding the project continues to rise.
