A film with director Puri Jagannadh is a risk commercially, one never knows which would click and which wouldn’t but there is one thing that he guarantees and that’s what Kalyan Ram is betting on.

Puri Jagannadh of late is making his career out of makeover for actors who are stuck in a rut. It started with Mahesh Babu in the past but recently the director had made this a must for his protagonist. This along with strong characterization for hero means, irrespective of the fate of the film hero is satisfied. This makeover and performances help the hero in long run.

It is keeping this “long run” aspect in mind Kalyan Ram has reportedly prepared for whatever is the fate of the film Ism. He is already said to have lost a good chunk of money as producer and he isn’t hoping much return theatrically as well. All he wants is “performance makeover”, let’s see if his judgment proves right here or not.
