Uttama Villain is a Kamal Haasan film which has completed its shoot long ago but unfortunately is not getting a release date. The reason for this is simple, biggies of Tamil cinema have taken away huge chunk of screens and thus leaving films like Uttama Villain no choice but to postpone.
The Diwali season has been blocked by Kaththi and Poojai. Following them would be Shankar’s magnum opus I. Rights for all these films have been sold and the distributors are giving first preference to these films as far as theaters are considered. Not just Uttama Villain, number of such moderate to reasonably anticipated films are finding it hard to get a perfect slot for the release date. Fans are hoping that Uttama Villain does not suffer a similar fate as Vishwaroopam 2, which is yet to see the light even though it was reported to have been completed more than a year ago.
