Suriya Sivakumar, one of the finest south Indian actors, says that his biggest source of inspiration in life is Kamal Haasan, whom he considers him his brother. Speaking at the audio launch of Tamil film ‘Cuckoo’ on Tuesday, Suriya said that he has following in the footsteps of Kamal Haasan.
He said that We all need inspiration. It’s only because of inspiration we follow a certain path in life. The path I’ve chosen and I’m currently walking on in my career is the one that was used by Kamal sir. He’s been my biggest inspiration. It’s because of him I’ve taken efforts in my career, changed myself and continue to walk on the path he has shown me. He’s like my brother and because of this relationship I feel closely related to him. He’s taught me so many things, has stood by me and continues to look after me.
Suriya added that he has so much to learn from the legend and it would not be wise to compare him with Kamal Haasan. He said Kamal didn’t have to wait for Padma Bhushan award, and that it had to wait for the moment to land in the hands of him.
