One Statement Diluted All The Hype!

The makers of Suriya‘s next Tamil film, ‘Kanguva, launched the movie’s first look teaser recently to celebrate the actor’s birthday. The teaser received more than 22 million views and became the second most-viewed first-look video in 24 hours after Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ this year.

After watching the teaser, everyone appreciated its unique and fresh setting and the world the director has created. The teaser made everyone believe that Kanguva has the potential to become that much-awaited pan-India film from the Tamil industry.

But recently, the makers have made a statement that the historical portion is just a part of the film. The movie mainly has a contemporary story, shot in Goa. This statement has backfired big time and has deflated all the hype and excitement the audience was having about Kanguva.

This statement gives away the fact that Kanguva is also going to be one of those run-of-the-mill films that have a historical flashback for a few minutes, and the remaining film is just a usual masala-template film in a contemporary setting.
