Exclusive: Kannada Director With Vijay Deverakonda

Kannada cinema is ever so relevant in Indian cinema now, thanks to the blockbuster success of the KGF franchise and recently, Kantara. The onus is now on Kannada directors to prove their mettle on the big stage.

Coming to the point, we are hearing that Kannada filmmaker Narthan has narrated a story to Vijay Deverakonda. For those of you who don’t know Narthan, he previously delivered a blockbuster Kannad film, Mufti.

Not so long ago, there were rumors that Narthan would do a film with Yash which will be the latter’s immediate next film after KGF 2. But that didn’t happen. Later, it was heard that the director might be working with Ram Charan for a film, but that too didn’t happen.

Now we are hearing that Narthan has pitched an idea to Vijay Deverakonda. But it is too early to comment on this collaboration.

With Kushi on hold due to unavailability of Samantha, Vijay is looking at other options. He is now in talks with Gautham Tinnanuri, Harish Shankar, and lastly Narthan. More clarity on the director of Vijay’s next is expected to be out next month.
