Kannada Rebel Star Ambareesh Is No More

The Rebel Star of Kannada veteran actor Ambareesh is no more. The senior has died today due to cardiac arrest in Bangalore. He was 66 years old and survived by a wife, actress Sumalatha and child.

Ambareesh started his career as a supporting actor, and few villain roles and then grew to become a star. His path has been inspirational to many artists in Kannada film industry and is therefore referred to as Rebel Star. Ambareesh has been married to popular actress Sumalatha. In Telugu, he has was seen in the movie Sri Manjunatha.

Not only as a star, but Ambareesh was also a successful politician serving as Member of Parliament for three times and even as Information and Broadcast Minister. The Andhra Pradesh state government had bestowed him with NTR Award. Ambareesh is also a recipient of Filmfare lifetime achievement award apart from multiple honours from the Kannada film industry. May his soul rest in peace.
