In a day and age where sequels are ruling the roost in Indian cinema with blockbuster theatrical returns, Kantara, a celebrated Kannada film is getting a prequel.
The prequel of Kantara has been titled Kantara: Chapter 1, and it evidently gives a look into the world of Kantara. The story and narrative is set into the legend of Kantara.
The first-look poster and video were unveiled today. The video packs the right punch and it gives an exhilarating look into the world of Kantara. Particularly, the shot where Rishab Shetty is seen as an enigmatic mythical person is the mainstay and it thrills the viewer.
This is the right kind of promotional material to further hype up a prequel of a film, that already did well at the pan-Indian box office.
While Kantara might be a box office hit, there isn’t ground-breaking anticipation for the second film from the franchise as was seen in the case of Baahubali 2 and KGF 2. So, the promotional material is the key, and as it appears, Kantara: Chapter 1 is on the right track here.
