Karthi arrived as the brother of Suriya with a slew of decent films that worked in Telugu like Yuganiki Okkadu, Aawara, and Na Peru Shiva. These films established him well on a low level and created tremendous hype for Shakuni.

Unfortunately, Shakuni turned out to be a big flop and the actor has been struggling since then. After some gap, Karthi received the love of Telugu audience with the film Oopiri where he was seen along with Nagarjuna. The success of the film has surely made Karthi more likable in Telugu cinema.

But the real test for the actor comes with the film Kaashmora. It is a film that solely depends on him. There is Nayantara in the film but her role is limited which means the success of the entire film rests on the shoulders of Karthi. Kaashmora has competition with a Dhanush film in Tamil and also Telugu.

Keeping all these things in mind, a big success with Kaashmora would mean Karthi has well and truly made a comeback after many years.
