Sardar 2, starring Karthi, is scheduled for release on September 10. The sequel to Sardar has generated attention, and the makers have been promoting the film across different regions. As part of the campaign, they held a pre-release event for the Telugu version, where Karthi interacted with fans.
Adivi Sesh, Boyapati Srinu and Mythri Ravi attended the event as special guests. Adivi Sesh said, “I am a big fan of Sardar and watched it in theatres. I am happy that Sardar 2 is releasing now, and I plan to watch it on the first day. Karthi is a warm and positive person who makes everyone around him feel comfortable.”
Boyapati Srinu said that he shares a good association with Suriya and Karthi. He appreciated their discipline and commitment towards their films and characters. He added that he liked Sardar and its story and is looking forward to watching Sardar 2.
Karthi thanked the fans who travelled from different places to attend the event. He said he was happy that Annapurna Studios is handling the Telugu release and thanked Boyapati Srinu and Adivi Sesh for attending the event. He also said that the characters played by Malavika Mohanan and Ashika Ranganath would have an important presence in the film.
Speaking about the film, Karthi said, “This is an international-level spy thriller with a local heart. PS Mithran’s script is different from Sardar. Working with SJ Suryah was a memorable experience because of his performance and energy. I hope audiences from all sections enjoy the film.”
Prince Pictures has produced the film, while Annapurna Studios is releasing the Telugu version.
