“I worked as his AD, now I’m his hero”

Kamal Haasan and Rajnikanth share a very close bond with their mentor Balachandar, the film maker who gave them intiital lessons which made them superstars today. Tamil hero Karthi too wants to share the same bond with his guru Mani Ratnam.

Karthi had been an assistant director to Mani Ratnam and now he is going to be his hero in the director’s next. He feels proud to do as a hero in his mentor’s film and he is happy that he is going to learn from him again.

Karthi knows that Mani Ratnam is a hard taskmaster and getting an okay with a smile isn’t that easy. But the actor wants to get his director’s compliments in the form of pat, which means Mani Ratnam is thrilled for the performance.
