KGF 2, Competing For Space Among Non-Baahubali Openers

At present, Bollywood is witnessing a phenomenon called the surge of pan-Indian movies especially, from the Southern States. Among the upcoming pan-Indian movies with huge craze, Yash’s KGF Chapter 2‘ will be the first to be in theatres across the country.

It’s eyeing a staggering opening day number for a pan-Indian movie in the Hindi belt, but specifically among the non-Baahubali movies as it’s going to be nowhere near ‘Baahubali The Conclusion’. So, what are the other pan-Indian movies that were among the top positions besides Baahubali 2?

Obviously, Prabhas’ movies ‘Baahubali The Beginning’ and ‘Saaho’ are in the list with the opening day collections of Rs. 24.4 crores each. The next two are Rajinikanth’s movies ‘2.0’ with Rs. 20.25 crores and ‘Kabali’ with Rs. 5.50 on day one.

Now, KGF’s sequel has to beat all the above-said four movies to be a non-Baahubali biggest opener. ‘KGF 1’ picked up from day two in the HIndi belt and hence, it’s not among the top 5 list of pan-Indian movies for day one openings.
