Kiara Advani is facing severe backlash after praising choreographer Jani Master in an Instagram post. The actress, who is currently promoting her upcoming movie Game Changer, shared a behind-the-scenes video of her dance rehearsals, thanking Jani Master for his choreography.
In her post, Kiara wrote, “I remember seeing @alwaysjani master’s choreography and thinking how are we going to do this, but that’s the beauty of our job, always learning something new.”
However, her praise of Jani Master quickly sparked controversy due to his legal history. Jani Master has been accused of sexually assaulting a former employee when she was 16 years old, leading to significant outrage.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting even suspended his National Film Award for choreographing the song Megham Karukkatha after the allegations surfaced.
Social media users criticized Kiara for associating with Jani Master, with many expressing their disappointment.
One user remarked, “Tone-deaf, especially when even his national award was taken back after the uproar over granting him bail.” In response to the criticism, Kiara edited her Instagram caption, removing the mention of Jani Master.
