Kona Says Koratala is Our Pride, Forgot Trivikram?

Writer turned maker Kona Venkat spoke high on the writer turned director Koratala Siva during the audio launch event of Tamanna and Prabhudeva starrer ‘Abhinetri’. He placed Koratala on the altar of writers who turned directors.

Kona said, “Koratala” is the reason for writers getting recognized today. He is our pride and he is our hero.” It’s true that Koratala is riding high with three back to back successes. But there are other writers too who made it really big in the Telugu Film Industry.

Kona seems to have forgotten the names of big directors like Trivikram and Sukumar who had been star writers once and turned out to be successful directors and became popular for their logic and reasoning in their characterization. These writers-directors also set an example, not just Koratala. Don’t you agree?
