Mahesh’s Existence Was in Doubt, My Film Was the Only Hope

Filmmaking is not a joke and a director’s creativity builds or breaks the career of the artists. When Mahesh Babu was in low phase after back to back flops like ‘Vamsi’ and ‘Yuvaraju’, ‘Murari’ with Krishna Vamsi was the only hope for Mahesh Babu.

At the same time, there had been a talk that Mahesh and Pawan Kalyan were tough competitors and Pawan was a bit head of Mahesh. Comparatively, Mahesh was in dull phase. Then, creative differences arose between the director and the producer of the movie.

While Krishna Vamsi wanted to shoot a classic number ‘Alanati balachandrudu’ on Maheh Babu, the producer wanted a mass number to elevate the hero. Finally, this song Panchayati went to superstar Krishna and when the veteran asked to shoot the song according to the commercial format, Krishna Vamsi chose to walk out of the movie.

But, Krishna decided to allow the director to have his way and that is how Mahesh Babu got a superhit number to be remembered for many years to come and also a super hit film when he needed it the most. Krishna Vamsi revealed about this creative differences with his producer during a recent interview.
