Director Explains on How Alcohol Helps Actors

Do actors take alcohol to give their best? Not all. But, there are some actors who do take the help of alcohol to bring out the best in them. Popular director Krishna Vamsi gave some examples of some big actors who take alcohol before their shot.

Even Aamir Khan did it for a scene while shooting for his classic and most acclaimed movie ‘3 Idiots’. The director believes that if an actor can be under control after consuming alcohol and come out with the desired performance, it is fine for him to allow his actors to have a shot or two.

For ‘Anthapuram’, Krishna Vamsi used to give a shot of tequila before every shot to Jagapathi Babu and he came out with terrific performance because the actor knows how to be in control and use the intoxication in his favor instead of going haywire in the inebriated condition.
