She Said No To Rajamouli – She Was Right!

Only a fool would turn down a role in Baahubali that too when the director SS Rajamouli himself approaches them. It turns out there was one person and what’s more, that person made the right decision.

The person who turned down the role is none other than Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna. She made a fantastic debut playing an evil character in Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu. The director who also happens to be friend of Rajamouli suggested her name when it came to the casting of the character of Shivagami in Baahubali. However, the actress turned down the offer.

She pointed out a simple fact related to her age and playing on screen mother to Prabhas and Rana. Everyone felt that she was right and let her have her say. Eventually the role was essayed by Ramya Krishna and the rest as they say is history.
