Legal case in US, No response from star

A Sikh fundamentalist outfit based in US ‘Sikh For Justice’ is fuming on Bollywood senior superstar Amitabh Bachan for not responding to the US court summons. And according to the federal rules. The religious outfit asked the Federal High Court to issue default judgement against Amitabh Bachan.

A case has been filed on US Federal Court by the above mentioned separatist Sikh body for hurting the sentiments of the Sikhs during the 1984 riots. Though Amitabh received the summons from the court through proper channel i.e., through Indian Law Ministry, there has been no response from the star alleges the religious outfit.

Trouble is brewing for the superstar as this is a case of ‘absentia’ for which verdict can be sought by the complainant. The anti-Sikh violence case of 1984, it’s alleged that Amitabh has provoked killing of Sikhs after the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
