Liger to Game Changer: Sukumar’s Credibility Lost

In the current Telugu film industry, two directors stand out as major figures: S.S. Rajamouli and Sukumar.

Rajamouli is on a different level altogether and has reached an extraordinary level of success, elevating Telugu cinema to global prominence.

Sukumar also created a sensation with Pushpa on national level. It is no secret that Rajamouli has immense respect for Sukumar and views him as his only competition in the industry.

Despite this, there have been moments where Sukumar’s statements have somewhat diminished his stature.

One such instance was when he predicted that Liger, directed by Puri Jagannadh, would gross 1000 crores, only for the film to flop spectacularly, damaging both Puri’s career and Sukumar’s credibility.

Now, Sukumar finds himself under fire once again for his overly confident and somewhat absurd remarks about Ram Charan’s Game Changer.

Sukumar’s glowing prediction that Ram Charan might win a National Award for his performance, set very high expectations.

His review at a recent event in Dallas, USA, where he praised Charan’s performance in the climax, further fueled anticipation.

Known for his sharp judgment and successful track record, Sukumar’s words made fans expect a powerful, emotionally charged climax, potentially surpassing the impact of Rangasthalam.

However, when the film was released, the much-hyped climax turned out to be a routine action sequence, lacking any kind of depth or intensity. It left many wondering if Sukumar had even watched the film himself.

The film’s response was overwhelmingly negative. As a result, many began questioning Sukumar’s judgment, wondering why he had made such ridiculous claims when the final product turned out to be so poor.

Statements like these, intended to generate temporary hype for films like Game Changer, will ultimately damage Sukumar’s credibility rather than help the film. In fact, it may invite more trolls.

Such remarks will likely haunt Sukumar, casting doubt on his judgment for years to come.
