Lokesh: Next Shankar In The Making?

If any Tamil director enjoyed significant command and a fan following in the Telugu states, it was none other than Shankar. He had a massive fanbase among Telugu audiences, much like the top stars in Tollywood.

Now, when we look at the advance bookings for ‘Leo,’ it’s evident that Lokesh Kanagaraj has emerged as a director to watch out for in the Telugu states. The bookings are incredibly impressive for a dubbed Vijay film.

While Vijay does enjoy a respectable following among the Telugu audience, the bookings reveal that it’s not solely due to Vijay; Kanagaraj’s contribution has been substantial in driving strong pre-bookings throughout the Telugu states.

If ‘Leo’ turns out to be a hit, Lokesh Kanagaraj could be the next big thing in Tollywood, following in the footsteps of Shankar. His future films, as well as those associated with the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, are poised to take a thunderous start at the Telugu box office, on par with some of the top-tier heroes.
