A Long List Of Sequels In Making

Remakes have been a trend that is going on from ages but making sequels is not a popular trend. The trend began in Bollywood almost a decade ago with few blockbuster sequel successes back to back in the same year.

Ten years later South Indian cinema is catching up with the sequel trend big time. We all know about 2.0, and latest to join the list is Bharateeyudu 2. Apart from them, there are many other sequels in the making like Pandemkodi 2 starring Vishal, Saamy 2 starring Vikram. Then there is a sequel for Shankar produced Himsinche 23 Va Raju Pulikesi featuring comedian Vadivelu in lead role.

Apart from the films mentioned above, there are many other sequels in the offering which are more Tamil audience specific. The fate of 2.0 will decide how the future films fare or the general interest in them. Bharateeyudu 2 will be the one directly affected by its box office outcome.
