Vikram Kumar, the director of ‘Manam’ and ‘Hello’ couldn’t live up o the expectations with his last release ‘Gang Leader’ starring natural star Nani in the lead. He is yet to announce his next project and the hero of his next.

Talking about theatres, the director sees OTT as no threat to theatres like the television turned out to be no threat to theatres when it was first making a sensation turning out to be the favourite of family audiences. So, nothing is a substitute for watching movies in theatres.

Vikram Kumar shared his experiences how he used to watch films in theatres, standing in line for tickets, those houseful boards and how nowadays, we are booking tickets online and missing the thrill that they used to have.

Nevertheless, change is inevitable. Television came and next, the OTT platforms. Still, audiences are waiting for their theatrical experiences. True. We have to wait for the theatres to catch up and this would happen gradually.
