Mahakali movie teaser has increased the intrigue about the movie as it offered a confrontation between a new form of evil groomed by Shukracharya, Guru of Demons, and Mahakali. Bhoomi Shetty, Akshaye Khanna and Sriya Reddy have been cast in the film, and it is connected with PVCU, the socio-mythological universe of Prashant Varma.

The movie team has now revealed that veteran actress Kushboo has been cast in a prominent role, along with her first look. On the occasion of her birthday, the makers revealed her look. She appears in a simple, homely look in the poster.

Puja Kolluru is directing the film, and the post-production works are underway after the movie completed a 125-day shoot.
