The main films in question are two, Naa Peru Surya starring Allu Arjun and Bharat Ane Nenu starring Mahesh Babu. Both the movies fixed April 27 and now neither are arriving on the same date. While Bharat Ane Nenu has been preponed to April 20, Naa Peru Surya is postponed to May 4. It is a win-win situation for both sides.
However, there is one more angle and film here, and that is of Superstar Rajinikanth. The veteran star made his announcement late and yet got the date. A ‘real’ Superstar like treatment. Kaala keeps its April 27 release date and will have a solo pan-South India release. It has to contend with a clash of Hollywood’s Avengers –Infinity War Part -1, though.
Strictly, looking from a business perspective, Naa Peru Surya has the best deal if the other releases fail to get the desired talk. If it’s the opposite, it still gets the screens it wants and can survive with right word of mouth. It is all up to the content and getting the right talk now
