Mahesh & Namrata Offered It to Him

Playing the role of a brave soldier, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who sacrificed his life while fighting the lives of the hostages during the Mumbai 26/11 terror attacks is like a dream come true for Adivi Sesh. It was his dream to play the valorous character for many years. Adivi Sesh has turned quite lucky that Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment offered to co-produce the movie with several other players.

Adivi Sesh cherishes the opportunity when Mahesh Babu and Namrata approached him for Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan character. Playing the character that has been lauded for his great valour and martyrdom, is like a surreal experience for him and Sesh wants to give his best shot for the movie. So, he is writing the movie, himself but of course, not directing it. ‘Goodachari’ fame Sashiiran Thikka is helming the project.

Tying up with Mahesh Babu‘s production house along with Sony Pictures and others will be giving the movie a bigger platform to tell the story of the Major so that it can have a wider reach. As the managing director of GMB Entertainment Namrata already mentioned that she and Mahesh Babu wants to give a global platform to such unique and original tales as she thinks ‘Major’ is a story that would cater to both Indian and International audiences.
