Mahesh Babu Lost Sleep After KGF 2 Success?

KGF 2 is the talk of the nation now. The film has opened on an exceptional noted in the domestic and also overseas circuit. The blockbuster success of KGF 2 has added enormous hype to Salaar which marks the coming together of Prashanth Neel and Prabhas.

Incidentally, Mahesh Babu was one of the first Telugu heroes to contact Prashanth Neel after KGF 1’s release. He apparently gave Prashanth a plush office in Hyderabad and made him develop a script. However, Mahesh did not like the script and rejected the project.

Now, the inside talk in the industry is that the script Prashanth had developed is none other than Salaar’s. This script then went to Prabhas and he readily took it up.

Now, thanks to the super success of KGF 2, Salaar has already attained a whole lot of hype. This is billed to be the most promising project in Prabhas’s immediate line up. Well, had Mahesh okayed the script, he would have been the first Telugu hero to work with Prashanth after KGF.

But as it happened, despite Mahesh’s efforts, things did not go as planned and Prabhas took up Salaar. Salaar is one of the keenly awaited films now and Mahesh might be repenting his decision to reject the project if it goes on to become a box office blockbuster.
