Mahesh Babu is currently enjoying a break after completing his portions for SS Rajamouli’s Varanasi. The film is being positioned as the superstar’s biggest global release, with expectations of taking him to a much wider international audience.

Naturally, attention has already shifted to what Mahesh will do after Varanasi.

Over the last few days, reports about a possible collaboration with Tamil director Lokesh Kanagaraj have gone viral. The combination has created massive excitement among fans, but there is reportedly no concrete confirmation about the project at this stage. Lokesh is right now busy with the script work and pre-production of Allu Arjun’s next.

Mahesh Babu’s post-Varanasi film is yet to be officially locked. Several names have been linked with the superstar, but none of these reports have turned into an official announcement so far.

Interestingly, Mahesh has also had multiple discussions with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga about a possible collaboration. Their combination has been discussed for a long time and naturally generates huge interest. However, Vanga already has several commitments lined up, which means the project may take considerable time to materialize.

This makes Mahesh’s immediate next move particularly interesting. Lokesh Kanagaraj is not confirmed, while the Sandeep Reddy Vanga project does not appear to be happening immediately either.

For now, Mahesh seems to be taking some well-deserved downtime after the demanding Varanasi schedule. The Rajamouli film itself remains his biggest priority, with the team working towards a major theatrical release.

Until the next project is officially announced, all the talk surrounding Lokesh and Vanga remains speculation. Fans may have plenty of combinations to discuss, but Mahesh’s actual next film is still a mystery.

And perhaps that is not a bad thing. For now, Mahesh fans have only one job: stay in the Varanasi euphoria.
