Mahesh enjoyed playing a rockstar: Sukumar

Actors enjoy their roles when they get to do something different from a film to another. Mahesh Babu is a star actor but unfortunately he has very limited roles to essay in his films. He has been mostly seen in role of a police officer in his career so far. However, in “1:Nenokkadine”, he will be seen in the role of a rockstar for the first time.

Director Sukumar said that Mahesh thoroughly enjoyed doing the role of a rockstar because he hasn’t played anything closer to that in real life. Mahesh appreciated the director for writing an interesting character for him. Sukumar admitted that he was initially hesitant to even approach Mahesh with that role but when he did, he was surprised by how much Mahesh liked it.

The film, which also features Kriti Shanon is slated for release during Sankranti. The distribution rights of the film has already been snapped by Eros for a whopping INR 70 crore.
