The second song, ‘Oh My Baby,’ from Guntur Kaaram is out, and once again, a negative abusive hashtag with Thaman’s name is trending on Twitter, courtesy of Mahesh fans.
They are extremely disappointed with the melody, calling it more suitable for a Tier 2 hero. They accuse director Trivikram of losing his music taste, and the trolling continues relentlessly.
Surprisingly, the massive trends are initiated and contributed to by Mahesh fans themselves. Usually, it’s other heroes’ fans who attempt to troll, and fans defend, but this time it’s the opposite.
‘Oh My Baby’ may not be an instant chartbuster, but it’s a decent or passable number. However, social media tends to adopt a mob mentality, blindly following once a group starts something.
Additionally, music director Thaman has also built up a substantial negative following on social media due to his previous comments and some subpar works.
The real issue lies in Thaman delivering not just one but multiple chartbuster songs in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo for Trivikram. Now, Mahesh fans expect the same magic to repeat.
These expectations are the real problem as they’ve gone so far as to hurt their favorite star’s film.
If ‘Oh My Baby’ triggers such wild reactions, the remaining songs of Guntur Kaaram will face even bigger challenges, considering makers typically reveal the best of the album.
