Mahie Gill about her role in Zanjeer

Thirty seven year old actress Mahie Gill, who made her debut in Bollywood with Sudhir Mishra’s Khoya Khoya Chand and is specially recognized for her role of Paro in Dev D is now appearing in Bindu’s legendary ‘Mona Darling’ role in Apoorva Lakhia’s Zanjeer remake. Talking about her experiences playing the iconic character, Gill explained that this role pushed her out her comfort zones and expanded her acting horizons.

The role is of a glamorous woman and seemed quite a bit difficult to Mahie Gill because of all the focus on her looks. As Mahie had previously always concentrated on performance aspect of acting, playing this character was very challenging. Mahie also explained the troubles her costume designer and hair stylist went through in order to do justice to the character. Mahie even had to increase the duration of her exercise to get into shape.
