Actress’ Loud Message Silenced for Targeting Superstar Fans

Malavika Mohanan, who was supposed to make her Telugu Film Industry debut with Vijay Deverakonda’s shelved movie ‘Hero’ has got herself into the centre of a debate about the sexist portrayal of women even in a hypothetical movie house.

Expressing her opinion on a fan-art pic on mass star Vijay’s ‘Master’ team stuck in the hypothetical movie-house during quarantine, Malavika Mohanan found it sexist as the picture depicted all the males chilling out and the only female doing domestic chores.

One can imagine, the kind of trolling she could have faced after her tweets. Needless to mention, Malavika deleted her tweets for undisclosed reasons.

Surprisingly, a section of Vijay’s fans backed her and expressed solidarity saying that there was nothing offensive in her tweets. Especially, they opined that she shouldn’t have deleted her tweets.

However, it isn’t easy on social media for female actresses who express their opinions on gender-bias in the film industry. She might have deleted fearing the obvious.
