Mani and Rahman take profession to next level

This is a surprise that even the most diehard fans of the combination couldn’t have anticipated. Director Mani Ratnam and musician AR Rahman are turning lyricist together for the film Ok Kanmani. They have written a song which begins with the lyrics ‘Mental manadhil’.

For over two decades Ratnam has had Rahman as his music director and together they have worked with legendary lyricist from different industries but it is the first time that they have written a song. This fact alone has increased the hype tremendously on the film and it’s audio which is expected to release soon.

Sources say a single from the film is going to release in few days in both Telugu and Tamil. One wonders if the single would be this combined effort or full version of the one we have all heard in the teaser.
