Mani Ratnam’s AD to act in his next

Mani Ratnam once offered a role to his assistant director, which the AD declined because he was happy to be doing the job of being an assistant director. The film is Mani Ratnam’s ‘Aayutha Ejhuthu’ (Yuva in Telugu) starring Suriya and Madhavan in the lead roles. And that assistant director happens to be Karthi.

Bringing Karthi on board for his next seems interesting as it suggests that this time it might not be an out and out romantic movie going by Karthi’s image.
