What worked the best undoubtedly is the writing which feels fresh, and a couple of punch dialogues have landed. If one were to add the bits from teaser as well, we could get an overall idea as to how the writing part may pan out. The cast, music and cinematography, looks cool, also. Of course, everything has multiplex, upmarket vibe, unlike Manmadhudu, which help appeal universally.
However, as the character of Rao Ramesh says in the middle of the trailer – ‘Ekkado Koduthunde…’, there is a feeling of something off. Nagarjuna seems to overact, but we can give that a pass as it might feel different in a complete narrative.
As many might be aware by now, Manmadhudu 2 is a remake (officially confirmed by the makers) of a French movie titled Prete-Moi ta Main. The nativity adjustment to Telugu audience seems to be a bit off, or maybe it all couldn’t be put together to get a compact trailer. Apart from that issue story-wise, the trailer of Manmadhudu 2 is fine.
Check out the trailer below. Rahul Ravindran of Chi La Sow fame directs Manmadhudu 2. Chaithan Bharadwaj provides the music. Lakshmi, Rao Ramesh and Vennela Kishore play other crucial roles. Manmadhudu 2 hits the screens worldwide on August 9th.
