Maruthi Happy with how Pizza 2 has been received

Filmmaker Maruthi, who is the co-producer of the Telugu dubbed version of Pizza 2, is a happy man that the film has been received well by the audiences. He said that it has slowly and steadily showed growth in terms of collections and the overall buzz around the film.

Pizza 2, which is not a sequel to Pizza, opened to mixed reviews, both positive and negative, but the film has been welcomed by audiences, especially youngsters. Sanchita Shetty who played the lead in the film said that she is extremely happy that the film has been received well by the audiences and that it has brightened her prospects in the Telugu industry as well. She has so far only featured in a cameo in Telugu in Ram Charan-starrer Orange.

The film in Tamil had a good opening and went to collect over INR 1 crore in the opening weekend. Now, the makers are planning to make the sequel of Pizza 2 simultaneously in both the languages.
