Theatre Owners Shivering for Luke Warm Reception

Like many other industries, even the film industry in the country has been hit hard due to the pandemic lockdown and reopening of theatres means starting something right from the scratch as if it is a new beginning.

However, the reopening of theatres in Chennai has left the theatre owners aghast for the lukewarm reception from the audiences. Government allowed only 50% occupancy and they could only sell 25% of the tickets of that 50% occupancy.

So, a superstar’s movie that has the power to pull the crowds to the theatres is the need of the hour and that’s why Tamil Nadu theatre owners are looking forward to mass star Vijay Ilayapathy’s ‘Master‘ release that would come with huge expectations.

There must be something really big to bring back audiences to the theatres for the theatrical experience. Once a superstar’s movie hits the right chord and puts all the fears to rest, the small and medium budget movies would also make progress into the theatres. What do you think, folks?
