Rape Threats for Samantha’s Voice

Social media is turning an abode for haters and people who are opinionated and judgemental. Singer Chinmayi Sripaada, the dubbing voice for Samantha, has been getting rape threats from some people on Twitter for some time from now.

Besides the rape threat, she was even threatened with acid attacks on her face so that she wouldn’t be able to sing. To put an end to this menace, the singer took a bold step and went ahead to complain about the same to the Twitter management team. They asked for a police complaint to take down those Twitter accounts that had been threatening her.

Besides the complaints, the singer cum dubbing artist started an online campaign #RapeThreatsNotOk. Chinmayi says that these threats made her be scared for her life. Creating terror and spewing venom on women shouldn’t be tolerated on any account. This is the right step from the singer ahead of the upcoming International Women’s Day.
