Media is keeping me grounded says young hero

Ace film maker Mani Ratnam’s successful romantic films made the heroes of the respective films dream boys of young girls. They reigned as lover boys after Mani’s films. Be it Madhavan after ‘Sakhi’ or Arvind Swamy after ‘Bombay’, the romantic tag they earned in their initial days of their career undoubtedly belongs to Mani’s films.

Now the latest addition to the lineage is Dulquer Salmaan who is mesmerising youngsters with his understated performance in ‘Ok Bangaram’. He is presently the next lover boy in Kollywood, Tollywood and even Mollywood. Being the son of superstar Mammooty, it’s not easy for him to strike balance and be grounded with back to back successes and 15 films in three years.

The star kid gives all the credit to media which keeps him grounded. Salman feels that while Kollywood media is nice to him, it is Malayalam media which brings in subtle criticism and makes him understand his minutest flaws and this helps him a lot to be in the right path, not getting carried away by success.
