‘Mega’ Mukunda takes on the challenge

Getting the right release date for any film is crucial more so if its the debut movie of a hero. Things get even more difficult if the movie also has little bit of expectations. This is the case with debut movie of Varun Tej, son of Nagababu.

The makers have been looking at a safe release date, one that also has holiday, to release the film. Reason is simple, the film has hype among the fans and holiday could prove to be added advantage. But the makers couldn’t get the major slots as they have been taken away by the biggies. Now they have no choice but to release the film amidst competition.

Mukunda, which has been officially confirmed as title of the film, is locked for a Diwali release. It will now have to compete with the likes of Kaththi and Happy New Year to grab the attention of the audience. It will be a difficult task but the makers have confidence in the product. Whether that confidence is rightly placed or not is something we too would be aware off when the first look and teaser of the film releases on August 22 for Chiranjeevi’s birthday. So let the countdown begin.
