Men Come to Theater to Lust over Women -Taapsee

India Today Conclave South 2018 had the privilege to hear the voices of four powerful women aka Taapsee, Kushboo, Kajal Agarwal and Gautami who made a mark in the film industry and who know it better what it is like being objectified on the screen.

Taapsee Pannu came up with a weird argument that men come to theatres to lust over women on the screen. Rather more women must come to theatres to lust over men and their hot bodies. Does it make any sense? To stop objectifying women doesn’t mean that we must do the reverse.

Even senior actress Kushboo said that she lusted on Hrithik Roshan in ‘Jodha Akbar’ when he bared his back and looked like a Greek God. In the contemporary cinema, we see superstars like Shahrukh Khan baring their chest and are seen coming out of water bare-chested. She meant to say that even men are objectified, nowadays. Hmm!
