Menacing Avatar Of Nandamuri Hero

Nandamuri Kalyan Ram on the occasion of his late grandfather NTR’s birth anniversary made an announcement of his next, NKR18. The actor has unveiled his first look and title revelation which is Bimbisara.

In the 34-second clip we get introduced to the mythical land and Kalyan Ram is playing the titular role, Bimbisara. We get to see Kalyan Ram, a tyrant king, sitting on the stack of dead soldiers’ bodies, with a sword in one hand. We also see his menacing gaze as if he is waiting with vengeance.

Going by the caption it is a time travel flick showing the transition of evil to good. Kalyan Ram will be romancing Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon. It appears to be a socio-fantasy drama. This is the first time that Kalyan Ram is doing such a subject. The visual looks extravaganza and we could expect heavy VFX work involved.

It is worth mentioning that after Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise, filmmakers have dared to touch upon subjects like period drama or socio-fantasy drama which were once a thing of the past. Coming back to Bimbisara, the film is directed by Vasisht and Chota K Naidu is behind the DOP.
