A fan of the hero Vijay has been arrested for getting over-enthusiastic and abusing the Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the social media. A complaint has been filed against Thirumurugan by a BJP workmen. Thirumurugan reacted to a meme sent by the BJP workmen on Facebook using derogatory language.

Finally, the fan ended up in jail for Information Technology Act, 2000. The scene on GST has got a great response from the audience and also attracted the litigations. Yet, the film has received great support from many politicians and the film industry which is why no scenes were deleted from and the film is running successfully on the screens.
