Mirai 3-Way Clash: Will Teja Sajja Repeat History?

Teja Sajja is all set to return to the big screen with Mirai. After years as a child artist and a few not-so-popular lead roles, it was HanuMan that truly catapulted him into the limelight.

That superhero blockbuster not only gave his career a breakthrough but also turned him into a rising star.

Now, riding high on that momentum, Teja teams up with director Karthik Gattamneni for Mirai, an action-fantasy adventure produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner.

Teja plays a powerful super-warrior, while Manchu Manoj takes on the antagonist’s role. With music by Gowra Hari, the film promises stylized visuals, high-concept storytelling, and intense action set pieces.

Originally slated for an April release, Mirai was postponed due to extended post-production work. It is now scheduled for a global theatrical release on September 5, 2025, in both 2D and 3D formats, and in eight languages — highlighting its pan-India ambitions.

Mirai’s teaser generated decent buzz, but a new hurdle is emerging. Two other high-profile films — Kaantha starring Dulquer Salmaan, and Madharasi featuring Sivakarthikeyan — are also eyeing the same release date.

This three-way clash could impact Mirai’s box office performance, not just in non-Telugu markets but also in Telugu states.

A similar scenario unfolded last year in October, when Kiran Abbavaram’s KA clashed with Lucky Baskhar (Dulquer Salmaan) and Amaran (Sivakarthikeyan), which eventually dented its potential reach at the box office. Now, Mirai finds itself in a similar situation.

However, Teja Sajja has faced stiff competition before. HanuMan clashed with Mahesh Babu’s Guntur Kaaram and still emerged victorious. Whether Mirai can replicate that underdog success story remains to be seen — but one thing is clear: content will be king.
