Manchu to Shine in Mani Rathnam’s Mammoth Project

It is a dream that Mani Ratnam had to make the famous Tamil novelist Kalki’s Ponniyin Selvan who is trying hard to get a star cast together for the mammoth project which includes Vijay, Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Simbu, e.t.c who apparently have agreed to do the film and now the news is that Mohan Babu has also been approached for a vital role in the film.

According to the sources, the Manchu’s senior actor has nodded a yes to the project which is an absolute periodic drama based on the Tamil novel Ponniyin Selvan that was the favorite of all for the Tamilians back then. As told, the film needs a huge casting and enormous dates of the actors for its multilingual release, which is why Mani Ratnam couldn’t start off so long.

Now the director has finally managed to get hold of the casting that he wanted and also blocked the dates for the shooting to commence next year. Apparently, Mohan Babu’s role is going to be a crucial one which would stay throughout the film.
