Foolish Complaint: Daaku Maharaaj Vs Game Changer

This Sankranti, once again, a clash between Mega and Nandamuri factions seems to be brewing. However, realistically, there is no bad blood. The conflict this time is between senior hero Balakrishna and Tier 1 star Ram Charan.

Out of nowhere, a group has launched a campaign blaming the U.S. distributor releasing both Daaku Maharaaj and Game Changer in the U.S.

Their complaint is that the U.S. distributor is favoring Balakrishna by allocating more screens to Daaku Maharaaj than to Charan’s Game Changer.

This argument lacks any logical basis. The same distributor invested significantly in Game Changer, and Balakrishna’s film clearly has a lower break-even target compared to Charan’s.

Game Changer is coming after RRR for Ram Charan, set to gain momentum. Moreover, Charan is set to attend the pre-release event in Dallas, marking a first for a Telugu star of his stature.

While Balakrishna has a market in the U.S., his audience is limited as a senior hero, whereas Charan’s market is undoubtedly larger.

What would the distributor gain by allocating more screens to Balakrishna’s film when he invested heavily in Charan’s? But social media propagandists care little for logic—mud-slinging is their target. Also, by doing this, these fans are not realizing they are only hurting their favorite hero’s film.
