The stage is set and the excitement is really building as fans await the most awaited movies of 2025. The list by IMDb of the Most Anticipated Movies of 2025 has become the talk of the town with Salman Khan’s Sikandar in the top position.
Already the biggest buzz for an Eid release, this high-octane action drama is all ready to rock the theatres. But apart from Khan, it is Rashmika Mandanna coming up as the star of the year, as she boasts three movies in this coveted list.
Rashmika’s lineup has Sikandar, with Salman Khan, at the credits, as well as the historical drama Chhaava, with Vicky Kaushal, and the horror-comedy Thama, with Ayushmann Khurrana. In between this time of the year, she worked on releasing various movies and settled her space in the industry.
In the meantime, there was a huge wave in the South India film industry in another movie released by Yash, named ‘Toxic,’ tagging its name at number two on IMDb, with nine South Indian movies making it to the top 20 in the list.
The anticipation also has a knock-on effect for other trends in Indian cinema. Despite the rise of big-budget presentation, the other key releases that have brought interest in the optimistic narrative in 2025 are Rajinikanth’s Coolie (at 3) and Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 residing on the fifth rank on IMDb’s list.
Action thriller to comedy, the themes span a collision of genres involving Indian cinema making 2025 promising. They will, by all accounts, be the other powerful forces in Indian cinema in 2025, the year that the big referring movies will be released.
Owing to these factors as well as the combined star power of the two actors and the great- list of releases, there will be no dull moments for Indian movie lovers throughout the year.
