Mrunal’s Shocking Reveal: Insecure & Jealous Boyfriend?

Mrunal Thakur recently opened up about a past relationship during promotions for her upcoming film Do Deewane Sheher Mein. Her comments have sparked strong reactions online. The actress spoke candidly about insecurity and jealousy in relationships.

In the interview, Mrunal revealed that one of her ex boyfriends felt insecure while she was working on Super 30 in 2019. The insecurity reportedly stemmed from her sharing screen space with Hrithik Roshan. She said her co star’s looks became a trigger.

According to Mrunal, her then boyfriend began working out obsessively. He allegedly lost around 15 to 17 kilograms in an effort to “match up”. She said the pressure he put on himself was intense.

However, she added that the routine soon took a toll on him. Due to physical exhaustion and mental fatigue, he stopped exercising altogether. As a result, he reportedly gained nearly 20 kilograms.

Mrunal clarified that she never asked him to change himself. She said his actions were driven purely by insecurity. She attributed this to discomfort about her working with “good looking men” in the industry.

The actress mentioned that the ex boyfriend was Scandinavian. She did not reveal his name in the interview. She also did not offer any further identifying details.

Mrunal has earlier been linked to Indian celebrities such as writer Sharad Tripathi and rapper Badshah. However, reports suggest this particular incident is unrelated to them. The actress did not associate the story with any known public figure.

Social media reactions have been divided. Some users said they understood why insecurity might arise in such situations. Others criticised Mrunal for sharing personal details and accused her of using the story for publicity.

Mrunal is now preparing for the release of Do Deewane Sheher Mein. The film stars Siddhant Chaturvedi alongside her. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the film is set to release in theatres on 20 February 2026.
