Much awaited Flyover is finally happening!

The traffic at Benz circle is one of the biggest nightmares for the people of Vijayawada and all those who go there. Finally the traffic snarls are going to end after the government decided to construct the flyover which is in demand for several years.

The new flyover would be built from the Screw Bridge to Nirmala Convent at Benz circle, where two national highways (Pune-Machilipatnam and Chennai-Kolkata) intersect. Along with this the Vijayawada-Machilipatnam double road is being converted to four lane. If necessary it will be converted to six lane in future.

This project is estimated at 1300 Crore and tenders were also floated. The state government is keen to complete these works as quickly as possible otherwise this will be a very big issue for the Krishna Pushkaralu which will happen in August the next year.
