Murugadoss Dropped Rakul & Cast Kajal Aggarwal

The title is not about the ongoing Mahesh Babu and Murugadoss project in which Rakul is playing Mahesh’s romantic interest. It is about Tamil mass star Vijay’s 2012 movie ‘Thuppaki’ with Murugadoss.

The director wanted to cast Rakul Preet Singh who was a newcomer then. But, some told him that Rakul is not ready for films and continuing her career in films. He went ahead and cast Kajal Agarwal opposite Vijay as the female lead in the 2012 blockbuster. Rakul missed a golden chance then.

Rakul says that she was shocked to hear that they took the decision without even approaching her. She has no regrets now that she is working with Murugadoss in a superstar’s film. She is happy that she is trying something which is very near to her real-life nature. She thinks that she was destined to work with Murugadoss. True!
