Musical Chair Game Between Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun

An unexpected but interesting game of musical chairs has taken place behind the doors involving the top stars in Telugu cinema. The ‘stars’ are Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR and Allu Arjun, whereas the directors and Trivikram Srinivas, Koratala Siva and Anil Ravipudi.

It all started when a film in the combination of Allu Arjun and Koratala Siva got announced. It came out of the blue. But, then, Jr NTR had locked to Trivikram Srinivas, and the film was supposed to take off right after RRR’ completion. Koratala had a lot of time on hand (then) when Jr NTR wasn’t available. The pandemic didn’t let things happen as planned.

Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is looking at doing a quickie before jumping to the prestigious Rajamouli movie. He is trying various directors and Anil Ravipudi was the front runner.

And now, suddenly, Trivikram Srinivas dropped out of NTR30. It has led to the director’s swapping instantly, much like a game of musical chairs. So, Mahesh Babu immediately gave the nod to Trivikram. Koratala Siva moved to NTR30 as there is still time for completion of Pushpa.

Allu Arjun, meanwhile, is reportedly ready to work with Anil Ravipudi, as he (the director) would be waiting for Icon Staar with a bound script by the time Pushpa is done. The whole thing comes to a full circle with this latest development.

So far, only NTR30 has come out with an official announcement. SSMB28, AA21 will be confirmed soon.
